Hey Everyone. Well Olivia is keeping us crazy busy right now. She is a crawling machine and can speed away pretty quickly. Its amazing to see how quickly they pick up on things and master their new skills. She sometimes moves so quickly that she falls over herself as her legs and arms cannot keep up.
Olivia is becoming quite the performer now - she is clapping, screeching, laughing, tipping her head to the side (flirting).... she will start clapping randomly, or if you sing 'patty cake'. She will giggle and laugh and screech with delight. She is also mocking our behavior; she will put her hand to her mouth to make noises, tip her head, clap, crawl.
We love playing hide and go seek with Olivia. If you call her name and then run away she will come looking for you. We are having so much fun with her, racing around the couch, hiding in corners and surprising her. I think my favorite when playing hide and see is sneaking up behind her and scaring her - she laughs so hard.
It will not be long before she is walking as Olivia pulls herself up on everything and now furniture walking. She can move around really quickly and get what it is that she wants.
Olivia is still a great eater and loves food. She is eating a lot of finger foods and will eat almost anything that comes in front of her.
And Olivia is sleeping so much better!!! She might wake up once or twice, but we are doing really well!!
We are so proud of her - She is a fabulous little girl.

Olivia Pulling herself Up
Olivia is now pulling herself up on everything. She crawls over to the couch, chair, coffee table, her Mom or Dad... just about anything and will pull herself up. She will be cruising around before we know it!!

Nothing is Safe...
Well it is official.. Olivia is crawling and now there is nothing safe in our house. I am amazed at how quickly she picked up this new skill. Last week she was doing the bum bounce in the air and then lunging forward. Then she more or less pulled herself around with her arms... and now she just motors from one room to the other and has mastered the skill.
I am not too sure what to expect next as her new thing is to now do a 'downward dog'- putting her hands and head down on the floor, and raising her bum into the air while standing on her feet. It is quite hilarious to see her doing this as I am not too sure what her goal is. She is pulling herself up onto everything and is starting to learn that if she lets go while standing she will fall. It is just so amazing to see how quickly she learns cause and effect.
So far she has found out that plants and dirt are fun to play with. If she grabs onto a cord her Mom comes running and says 'no' which elicits a big smile (most of the time). She loves plastic water bottles, as not only do they make noise, but they also roll away and keep her entertained for quite sometime. Olivia will go through or over anything if she sees a puff on the floor. Olivia is still drawn towards anything made of paper...as she can rip, chew and crumple it. However I would say that the number one thing that she will go for over almost anything - is the phone. It makes noise, has soft buttons and sometimes voices come out of it.
Olivia is so much fun and keeps us going all day long. She has been lucky enough to spend full days with both Grandma's this week and I am sure that she loved every minute of it as it was something new. She is so adorable and loves to give smiles and has started to flirt. She tilts her head to the side and stares up at you and sometimes will give you a little grin at the same time.
We have been working really hard at getting her to fall asleep on her own in her crib... it often takes her hitting her head on the sides of the crib a couple times, crawling around,talking/singing for awhile, deciding which soother tastes best and then what corner to wedge her head into before sleep begins. She is now sleeping on her stomach and side most of the time. But has started to sleep through the night with the odd waking up for reassurance that we are still around.
All in all we are doing really well and loving every minute with Olivia. It is so much fun to see what she will discover next.
(Daaadaaaadaaaa is in the works so maybe the next blog will announce her first words!!)

Love of Puffs!
Olivia loves to eat Puffs and is so proud of herself when she gets them into her mouth. She also really enjoys mum-mums and is excited when you bring out the box. She is a good little eater and so far loves almost everything.

Olivia's First Christmas
Olivia had a wonderful Christmas and was spoiled by everyone! There was an early Christmas Celebration with Grandma Dube. We spent Christmas Eve Day at Grandma and Grandpa Dyrland's house and then Christmas Eve at Great Grandma Dyrlands. We then spent Christmas Day at Grandma and Grandpa Korven's with all of the family.

Welcome to our New Blog :)

Hey Everyone. Sorry it has taken us so long to get back at a blog. We have had our hands full with our little Olivia. Since October Olivia has grown and developed with leaps and bounds. She is such a Happy Baby and we are so very much in love. Here is a little update.....
~Olivia now has 2 beautiful pearly whites. She got her first bottom tooth in mid December and her second bottom tooth on Christmas Day
~Within the past month of February Olivia has started to sleep throughout the night... or is at least going 7-10 hours a night without feeding.
~When Olivia gets put in her high chair she gets so excited. She really enjoys eating and has liked just about everything that we have given her. She absolutely LOVES puffs and mum-mums and will accept one at anytime and from anyone.
~ She especially loves to feed herself and will give big smiles when she is successful and getting the food in her mouth.
~Being in her jolly-jumper is still one of Olivia's favourite places.
~Olivia can melt your heart with her beautiful smiles and her adorable laughs. She is such a giggler and her Daddy can make her laugh the hardest.
~Peek-a-boo is a new fascinating game.
~Olivia has really discovered her voice and loves to talk to you. The place you will find her talking the most is in the car.
~Olivia is trying her hardest to crawl.
~She is pulling herself up on everything..and will use anything to help her (such as an Aunt's mouth!!)
~She now weighs around 21Lbs 5oz
We promise to try and keep this up to date a little bit more :)
Love
